No Ceasefire
EU Referendum building on previous brilliant investigative work reports here on the photographs from Qana.
Naturally, there isn't anything I can add except my own observations, Richard North rightly points out that there are many questions not addressed by the media. I shall ask mine here.
Why do the media co-operate in what appears as clearly a cynical stage managed "event" just to get a "good" photograph? Where are your principles?
Why do the media not inform us (their clients) that the photographs have been stage managed (as it appears)?
Given that this "event" was stage managed why have no questions been asked of Hezbollah such as:
Did you fire rockets at Israel that night from that vicinity?
Did you know there were children nearby?
Did you select that location for launching rockets knowing any counter attack stood a good chance of killing children?
Were the children and any other familiy members free to leave the location?
Why when you claim to be protecting the Lebanese people do you place your militarily offensive weapons in amongst them?
When you say you're protecting the Lebanese people, don't you really mean the Lebanese people are protecting you?
I think it is abundantly clear just what sort of people Hezbollah are, and we shouldn't cease to fight them until they are defeated. We should offer assistance to Israel for example by allowing the transit of missiles from the United States via the United Kingdom, and other such measures.
The media also has a role to play, not as the Hezbollah mouthpiece, but by giving us accurate and unadulterated reporting. They could do much good, by reporting to the Muslim world the truth behind tragic events such as these. I don't know whose side the media are on, but it certainly isn't our side.
