The Peasants Are Revolting

The local "news"paper reports here on the local council being forced to move a proposed circus venue, as the local residents are unhappy with it. My personal view of course is that as the land belongs to the council and the circus is only going to be there for 3 days, then it is just a storm in a tea cup.

Still we're told that: "A City of York Council events officer, claimed ... "He phoned me on my mobile while I was at the park and said, "If you come anywhere near our street I will slit your throat",""

Now while I cannot condone this action and the threat is both wrong and illegal, it goes to show the frustration people feel when dealing with ever increasing officialdom. The threat is out of all proportion to the circumstances, but until or unless our masters realise that we've had enough of their petty bureaucracies and are tired of their unappealable interferences in our lives then I suspect this kind of behaviour will unfortunately become more common.

Of course in now moving the circus the council are making another mistake as it's rewarding the threatening behaviour.
