Dealing with squatters

Following on from the exploits of Swampy & Co. the Daily Mail on Saturday and here shows an object lesson on how to deal with this particular nuisance.

The farmer simply used a forklift and removed firstly the vehicle and then the caravan from his premises. Fortunately he arranged for photographs although the car cannot be seen online, there is an excellent one of the caravan with the squatter looking out of the door.

Amazingly the police have decided to stay out of this affair: "Spokeswoman for Humberside Police, Lisa Fleming, said: "Police attended but it is a civil dispute between the landowner and the vehicle and caravan owner.""

Normally I'd expect the farmer to have been arrested for "depriving a scrote of a right" or some such offence, but for a change common sense seems to have prevailed.

I'd always thought these JCB type forklifts were overkill, but seeing how competently it deals with both the car and caravan I can imagine many more farmers acquiring this essential machinery.
