Work harder slave
The Times reports here that: "Young 'will lose half of their pay to taxes'", I think the storyteller is mistaken as I'm pretty sure in any calculation over half your income goes to the government anyway, even if your in the lower tax band. I think they really mean in income tax alone.
In any event, the fact is the slave works for the benefit of the master, the serf works for the benefit of the lord. It is only in a free society where people can work for their own benefit. In England where we are all the property of the state we can truly live the socialist principle of equality. We are all equally the slaves of the state. Isn't equality wonderful? Just as the serf of old worked for the benefit of the lord and was equal to all in his class now the "worker" of tomorrow will likewise be equal to everyone in his/her class and will work for the benefit of their benificent master "the good state".
Socialists always purported to hate fuedalism, when all they really hated was that they weren't the lord.
